What is College Coaching

  • College coaching is a supportive partnership designed to help college students build confidence, develop essential skills, and work toward graduation with clarity and purpose. Through one-on-one sessions, I help students navigate their unique challenges while promoting self-awareness, skill-building, and goal achievement. My coaching draws on evidence-based tools and approaches that enhance the college experience as a whole.

Each session is tailored to the student’s needs and may include academic and executive function support, mentorship, stress management, using campus resources, addressing challenges, setting goals, and building the skills needed to thrive in college life.

  • When students struggle to keep up with coursework or prepare for exams, the issue isn’t always academic content. More often, it’s tied to executive functioning, the mental skills that help students stay organized, manage time, start tasks, and follow through.

Academic and executive function coaching helps bridge the gap between knowing what to do and being able to do it. I support students with challenges like procrastination, motivation, perfectionism, staying on top of assignments, preparing for exams, using effective learning strategies, and managing stress. This work builds structure, confidence, and accountability so students can grow, stay on track, and succeed in college and beyond.

  • Coaching helps students grow in both academics and life. It reduces overwhelm, supports emotional well-being, and teaches students how to turn daily struggles into lasting success.

The transition from high school to college brings big changes, more independence, less structure, new social environments, and higher expectations. Many students feel lost or stressed trying to keep up. For those with learning differences, neurodivergence, trauma, or the pressure of being a student-athlete, the challenges can feel even greater. Coaching offers the support and pacing students need to build sustainable habits, not just quick fixes, and helps them grow in ways that last long after college.
